Students hear from local women in various career fields
at Herkimer BOCES School To Careers event

June 28, 2017

Shown above is a video slideshow of highlights from the 2017 Women's Career Experience.

HERKIMER - Holly Pullis – who has a family operated business Hollywood Enterprises, is an independent direct-sales consultant and contributes to her family’s Roedale Farm – gives the keynote speech on May 26 at the fourth annual Women’s Career Experience at Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES.

Organized by the Herkimer BOCES School To Careers program, the Women’s Career Experience is for female students in grades 10-12 in Herkimer BOCES component school districts and introduces the students to local women who are leaders in their career fields. The first Men’s Career Experience took place in fall 2015.

Students also were split into four groups for breakout sessions with Pullis and three other guests, pictured below, from left: Linda Fake, principal designer and owner of Uniquely Yours; Lori Nichols, vice president/director of human resources for Adirondack Bank, and Elyse Enea, program coordinator at Herkimer County HealthNet and public relations coordinator at Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service.
