Herkimer BOCES campuses no longer in lockout
Sept. 12, 2016

Earlier this morning, state police advised districts within a 5-mile radius of the Herkimer Thruway exchange to go into a lockout status, but schools have now been informed that they can move out of lockout and back to regular status.

Previously, Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES went into lockout status at both the William E. Busacker Complex at 352 Gros Blvd. in Herkimer and the Remington Educational Complex at 77 E. North St. in Ilion. The outside entries were secured, but all activities within the building are occurring as usual. There were no direct threats to schools.
