May 27, 2016

Collision repair students and Ilion Police Department with SRT vehicle

Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES students in collision repair instructor Mike Browne’s class painted a Special Response Team (SRT) vehicle for the Ilion Police Department.

Pictured above, some of the students pose with some members of the Ilion Police Department.

The van, pictured on the left, will be used for special operations and is a mobile command center for local law enforcement agencies.

The collision repair classed disassembled and refinished the van.

The collision repair program is a two-year class that provides eight credits toward high-school graduation and teaches students entry-level skills in repair and refinishing for the transportation industry.
