The Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES adult practical nursing program recently recognized students who have three or more children and are balancing family responsibilities while training to become licensed practical nurses through the Herkimer BOCES program.

“Many of our students are juggling family, work and education responsibilities while commuting to our program,” Herkimer BOCES nursing program Coordinator Sara Nicolette said.

Pictured above, from left to right: Jean Blades, of Burlington Flats, who is in the full-time class; Heather Gates, of West Winfield, who is in the part-time day class; Andrea Blackshear, of Utica, who is in the full-time class; Vicky Morgan, of Gloversville, who is in the full-time class; and Jason Nutt, of Herkimer, who is in the full-time class.

The application process and testing for the September 2016 full-time, part-time day and part-time evening classes have begun..
