Driven Herkimer BOCES LPN students driving long distances to class
March 30, 2016

LPN students who make a long commute

The Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES adult practical nursing program recently recognized some of the students who have to make a longer commute to the Herkimer BOCES Remington Educational Complex in Ilion to take their classes.

Pictured above from left to right: Vicky Morgan, of Gloversville, who is in the full-time class; Andrea Blackshear, of Utica, who is in the full-time class; and Monica Morse, of Clinton, who is in the part-time day class.

Herkimer BOCES nursing program Coordinator Sara Nicolette said there are many LPN students who make long commutes. Doing the driving shows that the students are driven, Nicolette said.

“They’re determined,” she said.

The application process and testing for the September 2016 full-time, part-time day and part-time evening classes have begun. For more information on the Herkimer BOCES adult practical nursing program, call 315-895-2210 or visit lpn.herkimerboces.schoolfusion.us.
