access to education through evening program

March 11, 2016

The Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES adult practical nursing program recently recognized students in the part-time, evening class, who spend their days working in healthcare or caring for individuals.

“None of them would be able to go to school if not for the evening class,” Herkimer BOCES nursing program Coordinator Sara Nicolette said.

The students, pictured above, from left to right:

Front row: Jose Alvarado, of St. Johnsville, and Brenda Chrisman, of Little Falls.

Middle row: Erica Phillips, of Utica; Asima Kajtazovic, of Utica; Amelia Palmer, of Utica; Beth Jasewicz, of Little Falls; Danielle Gleba, of Sauquoit, and Rachel Pakenas, of Canajoharie.

Back row: Katie Mathias, of New Hartford; Brittany Duncan, of Herkimer; Danielle Winn, of Cedarville; Candice Seeley, of West Exeter; Jessica Wall, of Little Falls, and Sara Atkyns, of Clayville.

The application process and testing for the September 2016 full-time, part-time day and part-time evening classes have begun. For more information on the Herkimer BOCES adult practical nursing program, call 315-895-2210 or visit lpn.herkimerboces.schoolfusion.us.
