Chicken barbecue at Herkimer BOCES car, bike show June 18
May 27, 2015

HERKIMER – Pre-order your meals now for the Cruise-In and Bike Night Chicken BBQ before it sells out.

The event takes place on Thursday, June 18, at Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES. All funds raised will go to benefit the Herkimer BOCES chapter of SkillsUSA, which is a national organization for students who are enrolled in technical or trade programs.

Chicken barbecue meals can be purchased for $10 the day of the event from 3 p.m. until they’re sold out – or you can order yours now by calling 315-867-2043.

The car and motorcycle show takes place from 5-8 p.m. outside of Herkimer BOCES at 352 Gros Blvd. in Herkimer.

In addition to the car and motor cycle show – with prizes for first, second and third in both categories – the event includes a bake sale, Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle operated by the Sopranos Cruzers and music provided by Audio King.

Attendance at the Cruise-In and Bike Night in general is free – with costs for the purchase of food or entry into the raffles and auctions. Attendees who are entering a car or motorcycle into the competition are asked to donate $1 to support school clubs, and donations are welcome from anyone to SkillsUSA.

SkillsUSA aims to help students develop leadership abilities through participation in educational, occupational, civic, recreational and social activities. Money raised from the Cruise-In and Bike Night will be used to support student club activities and sending the students to the New York State Leadership and Skills Conference Championships.

For information, call 315-867-2043.
